2009 Yearbook Order Form

Centered Riding’s 2009 International Educational Symposium will be held at the Putney Inn in Putney, Vermont from November 6-8.  The theme is “Centered Riding’s Partner – The Horse.”  Symposium presentations will include equine biomechanics, classical training, equine myotherapy, saddle fitting, in hand work, animal communication and EMDR for horses.  There will be live horse and rider demonstrations on Saturday and Sunday afternoon at nearby Southmowing Stables in Guilford, Vermont.

The Saturday evening keynote speaker will be Lendon Grey, Executive Director of The USDF Foundation, nationally known Dressage rider and trainer, owner of Gleneden Dressage, author and founder of  Dressage4Kids.
On Friday, before the Symposium officially opens, Centered riding will be offering a first aid / CPR course which is required for instructor certification beginning in 2010.  Hodari Keels will be conducting this course from 8:30 AM- 4:00 PM. Information about this course is available from equifin@att.net. The Annual General Meeting will follow.

Instead of the “By the Levels” networking session after the Annual Meeting, we will encourage participants to speak about Sally Swift, her legacy and the future of Centered Riding.

As usual, Centered Riding will be conducting the Silent Auction to benefit the Sally Swift Scholarship Fund.  This fund provides three grants each year to assist organizers of Centered Riding Clinics, five grants per year to assist members to attend an update clinic and two grants to assist a member to attend the International Symposium.  More information and a donor form will be soon available for those who wish to donate an item to the Silent Auction.  Anyone who would like to make a donation for the Silent Auction can contact our office (office@centeredriding.org).
